Where is that year?
Years only: calendars start their years on different days, so near a new year the answer can be one off. A typed year is read as its first day.

Three things worth knowing
-
Add or subtract
Buddhist = CE + 543, Hebrew ≈ CE + 3760, Persian ≈ CE − 621, Minguo = CE − 1911, Korean Dangi = CE + 2333.
-
Anno Domini
The monk Dionysius Exiguus numbered years from the birth of Christ in 525; the Gregorian reform of 1582 fixed the leap years we use today.
-
Hijri is not CE − 622
Because lunar years are shorter, 2026 is 1447 AH, not 1404. Subtracting is only right for the Persian solar calendar.

Background
About calendar eras
Calendars count years from different events: the Thai Buddhist era from the Buddha’s death (543 BCE), the Hebrew year from the traditional date of creation, the Islamic Hijri year from Muhammad’s migration to Medina in 622, the Persian Solar Hijri year from the same event but on solar years.
The Hijri calendar is lunar, 11 days shorter than a solar year, so it gains a year on the Gregorian calendar about every 33 years.
